What is the Pursuit of Justice PAC?

Pursuit of Justice is a progressive PAC founded by Prosecutor Eli Savit and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Victoria Burton-Harris in Washtenaw County, MI. They are founding this PAC with the goal of supporting progressive prosecutorial, legislative, and local candidates who support criminal justice reform measures.

Meet the Team

Eli Savit

Eli Savit is the elected Prosecutor for Washtenaw County and has dedicated his career to public service. He formerly served as a law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was a civil-rights and public-interest attorney, and started his career as a public-school teacher.

Eli is also a nationally recognized attorney who has led public-interest lawsuits against some of the country’s toughest adversaries—adversaries such as banks, the opioid industry, slumlords, and corporate polluters. Eli continues to teach at the University of Michigan as a Lecturer.


Victoria Burton-Harris

Victoria Burton-Harris is the Chief Assistant Prosecutor for Washtenaw County. She graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 2012, teaching high school students and working at the Free Legal Aid Clinic as a student advocate for underprivileged families.

Victoria served as president of the Black Law Students Association, encouraging students to use their legal experience to create positive change. In 2014, Victoria opened a private firm in the heart of downtown Detroit specializing in family law and criminal defense at the state and federal court level.
